Gerald Samuel Krawitz, 70, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away in his home surrounded by his loving family on March 26, 2014 in Wilton, CT. Jerry was born to Margaret and Maurice Krawitz in Bridgeport, CT and lived almost his entire life in Fairfield County. He graduated from Bordentown Military Institute high school and University of Bridgeport, CT. It was in Boston where he met his future wife, Iris. They enjoyed 46 years of marriage together.

 

Jerry started his own Certified Public Accounting practice, working with great joy and dedication with his clients for over 40 years. He worked passionately to meet his clients’ needs, taking great care not only with their financial security, but also their families and personal lives.

 

He was a longstanding member of Congregation Rodeph Sholom and a member of AICPA and the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL).

 

He was an avid reader, sports fan, and achieved a Life Master membership status with the ACBL, proudly winning a regional tournament competition in 2008.

 

He leaves his loving wife, Iris; three children, Joel (Sheila), Jaime, and Cole (Ru); and two grandchildren Zachary and Sophie.

 

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be sent to The Adam Krieger Fund, the American Diabetes Association, or the organization of the donor’s choice.

 

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, March 30 at 11:00am at Abraham L Green & Son Funeral Home at 88 Beach Road in Fairfield, CT with Rabbi Israel C. Stein as Officiant, followed by burial in Eintracht Cemetery on Shepherd Road.
