Joseph W. Myers, 76, of Lakeland, FL, formerly of Hamilton, died on March 6, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of complications from heart disease. Born and raised in Bordentown, Mr. Myers graduated from Bordentown Military Institute. He lived most of his life in Hamilton Township before moving to Florida in 2003. Retired as a machinist tool-and-die maker from Stokes Molded Products, Mr. Myers was an avid golfer and former member of Miry Run Country Club, as well as a member of the Bordentown Elks. He also enjoyed bowling, traveling, and spending time with his family. Son of the late Joseph and Thelma Myers of Bordentown, Mr. Myers is survived by his wife, Louise Myers; his two sisters, Janet Race, and Corinne Campbell; his two sons and their spouses, Joseph and Darcy Myers, and James and Susan Myers; three stepdaughters, Margaret Anderson, Susan and Kirk Metzger, and Amy and Brad Liptak; and eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and several nieces. Services were held at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home in Lakeland, FL, on March 8. Memorials can be sent to the Lakeland Regional Medical Center Foundation.
